Purchasing How to do Business with Rutgers - Newark The University purchases products and services through purchasing offices located on the three campuses. Low dollar purchases can also be made directly by end users. In each, the overall goal is the same - to obtain the highest quality products and services, at the best cost to the University, in a timely manner and with the best service. The buying staffs play a key role by meeting both the University's purchasing goals and at the same time supporting our Supplier Diversity Program. Procurement Managers and Buyers work with the Supplier Diversity team to identify additional suppliers. In addition, other employees who make purchasing decisions are requested to seek out and utilize diverse suppliers.
