The mission of Purchasing is to support the purpose and goals of Rutgers -- its educational, research, and public service missions -- by providing quality, responsive and responsible service to all University departments.

Purchasing is committed to ensuring the purchase, rental or lease of goods and services is done in a fair, competitive and equitable manner. We strive to provide the highest quality of service to our internal customers and suppliers.

We achieve our mission by dedication to excellence in customer service, developing relationships with small, minority, and women-owned vendors, complying with good business practices, the University Regulations and Procedures Manual, and Standards for University Operation.
